In Verbindung mit Straßenfotografie ermöglichen mir Spiegelungen eine spezielle Distanz zu den Menschen auf der Straße. Ich kann die Menschen in ihrer Welt zeigen ohne ihnen dabei zu nahe zu kommen. Oft entdecke ich dabei Dinge, die auf den ersten Blick nicht sichtbar sind. Manchmal sehe ich diese Dinge schon wenn ich auslöse, manchmal auch erst wenn ich das Foto auf Papier oder auf dem Bildschirm betrachte.
Fotografie kann wie ein Spiegel das Leben so reflektieren wie es ist, aber ich glaube, es ist vielleicht möglich, wie Alice durch den Spiegel hindurch zu gehen und mit der Kamera eine andere Welt zu finden.

In combination with street photography, reflections allow a special kind of distance to the people on the street. I can show the people within their world but without getting too close to them.
Thereby I often discover things which were not visible at first sight. Sometimes I see those things in the moment I press the shutter, sometimes I don’t see them until I look at the photo on paper or on the screen.
